Why Knit?

Knitting is one of the skills we are rapidly losing with successive generations.

Over the past few decades we've seen the transition from handcrafted sweaters and other knitted clothing to mass produced imported goods for a fraction of the price - and quality.

Knitting is also about sustainability by relying on our own skills to obtain a high quality, handcrafted garment that will last for many years.

Our aim is to revive some of those skills and knitting may only be the first step in a long journey...

Here are two items I made for my twin nieces a few years back. Note the green and red one with Australian symbols such as Sydney Harbour Bridge, Uluru and Snugglepot and Cuddlepie.
